About Us
The Centre for Workforce Development (CFWD) is your go-to resource for insights and expertise on the local labour market in Hastings, Prince Edward, and Lennox & Addington Counties. Established in 1997 as the East Central Ontario Training Board, CFWD operates as one of 26 non-profit workforce development boards across Ontario. Our mission? To support and strengthen local labour force development through comprehensive research, collaboration, and innovative solutions.

CFWD specializes in understanding and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within our regional workforce. Through meticulous research, data collection, community consultation, analysis, and reporting, we paint a clear picture of the state of the local labour market. With these insights, we partner with stakeholders to develop events, initiatives, projects, and resources that are both timely and tailored to the needs of our community.

At CFWD, our work is as diverse as the communities we serve.
