Welcome to the Montrose Inn, a Boutique Bed and Breakfast. We offer four well appointed rooms featuring original artwork, antiques, luxirous linens, and ammenities. All rooms have access to a grand parlour, stately dinning room, inviting library, front verandah and semi-private 2nd floor verandah's. The beautifully manicured grounds ( 6.5 acres ) include several gardens where you can relax and enjoy the park like surrondings. We are a pet-free and smoke-free environment. We provide a gazeebo area adjacent to the Inn for smoking; however, the Inn and it's verandah's as well all other buildings are strictly smoke free.
Montrose Inn, one of the best examples of 'ante bellum' architecture in Ontario, was built in 1916 by Robert J. Graham, a prominent businessman and former mayor of Belleville, and remained in the family until the early 1980's. The Inn with its many original features, grand crown mouldings, solid oak paneling, grand staircase, fixtures, and workings has been updated with modern ammenities and decor that celebrates the era while being fresh and inviting.
