About Us

For over 50 years, Quinte Ballet School of Canada (QBSC) has offered a variety of dance classes and arts outreach programs for students in QBSC's professional training program and recreation dance programs.

Our faculty and staff create a supportive environment that nurtures talented young people towards a career in the arts and inspires people of all ages and abilities in our recreation programs to learn, expand their skills and embrace the joy of dance. Past graduates of the professional training program have gone on to successful careers in both Canadian and international companies.

QBSC employs many local professional trained dance teachers and pianists. From September to May, there are over 70 dance classes offered in their facility each week. Each summer up to 80 youth aged 12 to 17 join their 3 week Summer Dance Intensive program from across Canada to receive over 60 hours of training in Belleville. QBSC's annual performances in December and June are popular with family audiences.

QBSC's Dancing with Parkinsons program offers each Thursday from September to May, a one-hour creative movement and dance class with live piano music. The classes help people with Parkinson's disease which affects a person's movement and balance, to use traditional ballet skills and steps to improve their gait, balance and confidence in motion.
