About Us

Sandbanks Winery is a great place to come visit! Try any of our award winning wines in our tasting boutique, which is home to our resident artist Rita Thivierge contemporary art gallery. You can also enjoy your tasting outdoors in our beautiful outdoor gazebo tasting bar overlooking our vineyard. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will happily guide you through a tasting that is sure to please everyone!

Make sure to enjoy our outdoor picnic area that overlooks our vineyard. You can bring your own picnic, or purchase picnic items that are for sale in our boutique. Wine is also available for purchase by the glass that you may enjoy with your picnic!

In 2001, Catherine Langlois purchased and planted 7 acres of Vines. Her 1st harvest was done in 2003 where she produced 150 cases of Baco noir which she sold exclusively to restaurants and bars in the local area. In 2004, she opened a wine boutique in the basement of her home that she built on the property, following the first Harvest party in 2005. Sandbanks, till this day, still hosts an annual Harvest party each day of the harvest. In 2007, PEC became a VQA designated area and in that following year, Sandbanks got their 1st listings in the LCBO, now over 16 brands at the LCBO and over 30 brands in total. Between the years of 2010-2017, Sandbanks Winery built and expanded their wine boutique, tasting room and added a private barrel room and tasting bar. In 2020, Sandbanks was then purchased by ARTERRA Wines Canada.
